The movie was similar to the other Miazaki films, but did depart from the unusual beings that are common for him. It was all done in the real world. It was a powerful story. I am a big fan of his stuff for many reasons. The sounds and attention to detail are fantastic. If I were going to be critical of anything in the film it would be this, the story is fairly slow paced and is played out in only one space. I loved Spirited Away because it takes place in an imaginary world that actually changes something spiritually and in the real world.

The overall movie was ok...it moved way too slow and didn't explore the relationship between shawn and arrietty very well. My daughter was board and wanted to leave about half way through.

good, but there's really no humor in it, no excitement. we love all the movies made by this guy, ponyo, kiki's delivery service, etc., really they're all imaginative and interesting to watch, but just wait until you get the chance to watch it at home.

A beautiful animated film that deserves to be seen by any fan of animation, and great story telling in general. This movie screams quality, and is on par with anything Disney has released as a company. Recommended for everyone!

I loved this movie, the music and the design were beautiful but I think I am going to watch the sub track when it comes out. The dubbing was not the best, sort of like they just threw it together. This movie is a great introduction into the beautiful world of Anime and a great family movie. Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away are still at the top of my list for Studio Ghibli..oh and Kiki's Delivery Service :-)
